Sponge cakes are simple which can be prepared very easily in minutes time.I make it very often without icing.

Sponge cakes are simple which can be prepared very easily in minutes time.I make it very often without icing.
Materials required:
- Maida/All purpose flour-400 gms
- Sugar-200 gms
- Butter-250 gms
- Hot milk 1cup(optional)
- Eggs-6 nos
- Vanilla Essence-2 tsp
- Baking powder-2 tbsp
Method:
- Sift maidha/flour,and baking powder for 2 to 3 times,as it mixes well by seiving.
- Mix butter and sugar well in a flat bottomed dish with a hand mixer.
- After mixing it well,add eggs one by one and mix well.
- Now add vanilla essence and mix.
- Lastly add,the flour and baking powder mix and thoroughly mix it well.
- Keep aside.
- Now take the baking tray and grease it with butter.
- Sprinkle 1 tsp flour in the greased tray and see that it spreads all over the greased tray.
- Preheat the oven for 180 degrees C for 5 minutes.
- Now pour the cake batter in to the greased tray.
- Bake it @ 180 degrees for 35minutes,on low rack.
- After the cake is baked,switch off the oven.
- Let it remain in the oven until it gets cool.
- Remove out and make it into pieces and serve.
